StrongMail Appoints New V.P. of Finance to Help Manage 188% Year over Year Growth
KPMG and Arthur Andersen Industry Veteran to Manage Finance, Administration and Human Resources
Redwood City, Calif., October 10, 2006 – StrongMail Systems, Inc., the innovation leader in email infrastructure software, today announced the appointment of Kenneth W. Long III as vice president of finance. An industry veteran who has held senior management positions at NetIQ Corp., KPMG, and Arthur Andersen, Long will manage finance, administration and human resources to support the company’s explosive year over year revenue growth.

Long brings to StrongMail more than a decade of senior management experience in public and private accounting. Most recently, Long served as vice president, chief accounting officer and corporate controller for NetIQ, a $200 million systems and security management software company. In that role, Long managed all accounting, achieved 404 certification and reduced the overall cost structure of accounting, including a 50 percent reduction in banking and investment management fees. Prior to NetIQ, Long held management positions at KPMG and Arthur Andersen, where he managed teams, conducted sophisticated audits, and managed corporate-wide compliance initiatives. A certified public accountant, Long earned his B.S. degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
